Common questions

Is Yardbird available yet?

Yardbird is in active development and will launch first on iOS and watchOS. The website shows illustrative previews, not screenshots from a public release. Android is also in development, with release timing to be announced. You can join the early-access list here for beta updates and potential TestFlight invitations when testing opens.

Will Yardbird be available for Android?

Yes. Android is in active development, but we are focusing on launching the iPhone (iOS) app and Apple Watch (watchOS) companion first. Android will follow later; we have not announced a release date or Android beta yet.

Does Yardbird have GPS yardages?

Not in the planned initial release. We're concentrating on scorekeeping, friendly competition and Apple Watch support before investing in GPS and course-mapping services. You won't need GPS to keep score or play group games.

How do I play with friends?

The planned group-round experience lets one person host a round and invite other players by code or QR invitation. Skins and Nassau results can be tracked on the group scoreboard. These features are being developed and will be verified during beta testing.

Can I meet golfers through Yardbird?

Meet & Play is designed to help golfers find public games and join with a nickname. You don't need to share precise GPS location with other players. Availability and moderation controls will be tested before public matchmaking is opened.

What does the Apple Watch app do?

The companion app is being designed for quick scores, putts, Skins standings, Nassau results and round alerts. It uses the paired iPhone for score syncing, so updates may be delayed when the devices aren't connected. Watch GPS yardages are not part of the launch plan.

How will Sign in with Apple work?

Sign in with Apple is being integrated into the iPhone app. When configured and tested, it will let you create or return to your Yardbird account using your Apple ID; the app also aims to support playing without creating an account. If you have a login problem during the beta, contact support.

Will Yardbird have paid subscriptions?

Optional subscriptions are planned, but their final features, pricing and trial availability are not confirmed on this site. Any actual offer will be shown inside the app before purchase. If you later subscribe through Apple, you can manage it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

How can I delete my account or data?

Use an in-app deletion control if it is available in your beta build, or email support@yardbirdapp.com for assistance. See our Privacy policy.

Can I use Yardbird for cash games?

No. Yardbird's games are for points and friendly competition. The app does not accept, track or settle wagers or payouts.
